Ceremic Dividers

Surprising, versatile and ultra-modern, the Ceramic Wall from Naxos redefines the use of ceramics in the home. Ceramic walls can assign purpose to space; they can add interest; they can divide and establish boundaries. Sculptural and smooth, the Naxos X-wall is an ideal addition to a modern, open-plan interior. Living in a loft, yet wanting a way to discern the bathing area from the sleeping quarters? A ceramic wall is the perfect solution, adding an element of privacy without interrupting the space with a solid wall. The touchable, gleaming surfaces of the ceramic pieces imply a work of art that actually functions to enhance the convenience and order of your daily routine. To enjoy a ceramic wall in the context of your home, make contact with Naxos, a Fincibec company-via

Eco-Smart

One of the season’s most exciting assemblage of cutting-edge design is coming up this week in Santa Monica, California.

CA Boom V will be touching down in the Barker Hangar at Santa Monica Airport March 14-16, featuring an overwhelming array - building accessories, home accessories, lighting, solar, studio furniture, surfaces.

Check out this beautiful open fireplace that was featured last year - the ecosmart. It burns with a cool (literally) alcohol flame, which means you don’t have to worry about fancy installations. In fact, you can have it as a standalone on plastic casters, allowing you to move your fireplace around the living room, roll it out onto the deck, or stash it away when you’re having a big party, or simply want more space over the summer. And no emissions!-via

The Round Table

Arthur, round table. Designed by Dirk Wynants. Manufactured by Extremis.

As explained by its creator, “The mystical Arthur round table is symbol for justice, equality and joy in life. The round shape stimulates conversation, being one of the most important things in life.”

The Arthur round table with central rotating lazy susan is retro on the one hand, contemporary on the other. If viewed from the side (base and all) it resembles a sort of space-age, geometricized peony in bloom; while from above it might remind you of the dining set in Woody Allen’s Sleeper, or of some rogue component of the docking station in Stanley Kubrick’s 2001.
The table top is segmented (like a pie chart) in a way that neatly demarcates its capacity—8 segments for the eight-seater, 10 for the ten-seater, and so on. This feature fits neatly within manufacturer Extremis’ vision, which is to cultivate equality, togetherness, and productive exchange: “this member of the Extremis family, appropriately named ‘Arthur’, is a synonym for encounter, communication, gathering, hospitality, togetherness.” The name refers to Camelot and the legendary Knights of the Round Table—one of the Western world’s enduring emblems of shared responsibility, justice, and familial/fraternal contentment. Though dining at the Arthur table probably won’t stimulate you to seek the holy grail or defend the kingdom from marauding Saxon hordes, it will eliminate being stuck in that dreaded middle spot of traditional rectangular tables, where good conversation goes to die, where you find yourself with the dubious alternative of a senile uncle on one side and a morose, pubescent cousin on the other.-via

Wood You ?

I know I have been stuck on trends for the bath, but, WOW, the products are now like a piece of art and architect designer Edoardo Petri has achieved a masterpiece!!!

Architect Edoardo Petri
For its first collection, FRANCOCECCOTTI decided to appoint an Italian designer to supervise the entire creative process in close cooperation with the company. This is architect and designer Edoardo Petri, committed since his academic studies to researching a balance between space, shape and function, at the same time drawing the proper attention on the aesthetic value of the project. Such a balance cannot create, when well achieved, anything but a result with interesting features of harmony and grace, never pompous and absolutely rigorous. So, it is Edoardo Petri that has the honour of supervising the first collection FRANCOCECCOTTI, born from the ambitious idea of reinterpreting the bathroom furniture in its materials and shapes. The Italian designer − building on his own experience as an architect − gives the new range a dynamic matrix, where functionality, charm and quality met harmoniously. Everything is done according to the culture of "beauty", intrinsic to Italian-made products.

Natural wood is the focus of these wonderful wooden bathroom looks from Francoceccotti. They are so striking due to the rarity of wood within the bathroom context. Incredibly, this Italian company embraces the organic beauty of wood to make all its bathroom furniture elements. ‘The Natural Range’ includes sinks, bathtubs, and a collection of smart accessories to pull the look together. Each piece has its own unique personality, with the natural grain of wood meaning no two pieces will ever be the same. There are two tubs available: sharply-styled Limpha bathtub has ‘strong lines emphasised by inlay work’ while the designer Agua bathtub is ‘heir of the old-fashioned tub’. The three very different sinks include the shallow Petal, the abstract, bowl-shaped Thalia and the curvy Wave. The accessory collection includes Pedra, an unusual and handy clothes stand; the Tail multi-function bench; the Ligeira chair; the Deck shower tray and the Bridge bath tray. Enjoy the natural warmth of Larch and Teak wood within your bathroom with the stunning range from Francoceccotti
